Car Seat Requirements

We accept car seats, but for your child's safety they must meet every one of the criteria below. Any car seat that does not fully qualify will be pulled from the sales floor and left unsorted at sale end.

• Your car seat has NOT been in an automobile accident (with or without child sitting in it).
• Your car seat contains its identification label with date of manufacture, model name and/or number.
• Your car seat is less than four years old.
• Your car seat has all parts including (if applicable) harness straps, harness clip, seat cover, padding, shield, tether, and bolts.
• The straps are not worn or frayed.
• Your carseat is not dirty or stained.
• No buckle or metal part shows signs of rust.
• There are no cracks, bends, or breaks in the plastic shell.
• Your car seat locking mechanism locks securely and remains locked.
• Your car seat has a label showing it meets all Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.
• Your car seat has never been broken or fixed in any way except to retrofit for safety recalls if applicable. You have checked for safety recalls and have made any necessary safety retrofits required to meet Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.
• You have included the instructional manual (copy may be printed easily from most manufacturer websites).
• You are the original owner.
